Australian born singer, songwriter & multi-instrumentalist Ivan Blanco grew up in the iconic surf town “Noosa Heads” of South East Queensland’s Sunshine Coast.
Inspired into the world of music by his father, he spent many nights watching his Gypsy Rumba band bringing people to life with passion and colourful latin rhythms. As a teenager he spent countless hours singing & playing with his friends on the beach.

Ivan played for the love of music and some times a few bucks and a few beers until teaming up with his brother from another mother Phil Hayse.
Together they started “Caveman Philosophy”. The duo both played guitar and sung, Ivan would often put down his guitar mid performance to create an improvised drum kit of djembe and a random small percussion instruments.

In 2016 Ivan moved to a small snow mountain town in British Columbia Canada, where the universe conspired to give him an inspiring push.
“I met this musician at an open mic night and he liked my vibe”
Only knowing the guy a couple days he drove Ivan to the nearest music store and bought him a full setup. Guitar microphone, speaker, cables stands, everything he needed to start gigging and only asked him pay it back when he could. Another friend gave him his first bass guitar and another friend him his first looping pedal, the Boss RC 30.

Market Stage, "Astral Harvest" Festival 2018, Driftpile River, Alberta Canada
He enthusiastically started performing locally and made his first festival appearance at ‘Astral harvest 2018’. Ivan continued his travels through Europe performing on the streets, in venues, festivals and yoga studios along the way before returning home to Australia where he performed at ‘PranaFest 2022’ and entered the Noosa National Busking competition and the Gladstone National Busking competition where he took out 3rd placate both! He was also won the special judges award at
both competitions .
